eWEEK to Organize Sessions at IPCentral and WIRELESSWorld Forum
eWEEK, a leading U.S.-based enterprise technology publication, will organize two separate hour-long sessions on Wednesday, 05 March 2008 as part of the IPCentral and WIRELESSWorld forum at next year's CeBIT. eWEEK editorial director Eric Lundquist and eWEEK Labs senior analyst Wayne Rash will moderate the sessions, which will take place at the IPCentral and WIRELESSWorld forum area in Hall 13.

Germany's consumer electronics market is expected to reach 13.1 billion euros this year – and the growth is being driven exclusively by digital-appliance sales. CeBIT 2008 will address this dynamic, high-volume situation with "digital living @ future building", a special display that will be home to futuristic yet functional settings. These backdrops will feature the realistic presentation of installed and integrated devices in such typical living and working environments as the home office, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

Hot Topic at CeBIT 2008: Green IT
In light of the growing challenge of climate protection, next year's CeBIT will introduce a sector dedicated to Green IT. "Not only traditional industry, but above all the digital sector has some key decisions to make involving the issue of climate protection," stated Ernst Raue, Chairman of the Managing Board of CeBIT organizer Deutsche Messe AG, adding, "The ICT sector has a pivotal role to play in devising solutions to promote energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions." Subsequently, CeBIT will feature three green components: Green IT Village, Green IT Guide, and a series of Green IT presentations and conferences.

CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia Closes on High Note
CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia, the premier venue for showcasing business opportunities between East and West, took place in Istanbul from 2–7 October 2007. The event attracted a record-breaking number of 140,000 professional visitors and 908 exhibiting companies from 20 countries.
