WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE: International Summit for Vital Issues
WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE, which will run 22 and 23 April 2008, is an important component of HANNOVER MESSE. This third global energy summit will serve as a platform for leading experts worldwide to pose questions – and propose solutions – relating to the vital energy issues of our times. The central theme of WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE 2008 is "The future of power plants and grids". An international line-up of top energy experts, industrialists, politicians, financiers and scientists will discuss technological challenges, opportunities and prospects facing the energy sector today.

Renewable Energy: Strong Growth in Hall 13
Renewables – solar energy, biomass, biogas, geothermal energy, wind and water – rank high on the global agenda and will play a pivotal role in the future. Next year's HANNOVER MESSE will feature numerous programs that focus on this topic, including Clean Moves Expo, Energy Efficiency Award, Industry and Export Forum "Renewable Energy" and WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE.
In addition, Hall 13 will host the Hydrogen + Fuel Cells Pavilion – which this year featured 120 exhibiting companies – and Theme Park Renewables, which will showcase the entire spectrum of renewable energy at a single presentation. HANNOVER MESSE to Host Third Annual Pipeline Technology Conference
HANNOVER MESSE 2008 will host from 21 to 23 April the 3rd Pipeline Technology Conference, a high-level event that addresses transport operators and investors, decision-makers from industry, government policy-makers, and public utilities as well as engineers and research scientists from all over the world. The conference will take place in Hall 27 and will be followed by a user's forum on Thursday and Friday. The call for papers is online now; the program will be posted in February 2008.

Energy Efficiency Award 2008 Open to International Participants
Energy efficiency, a leading topic at HANNOVER MESSE, is the focus of Energy Efficiency Award 2008. The international competition is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises that have invested in innovative, exemplary measures to increase energy efficiency. Winners will be announced and presented with their awards during "WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE". Total prize money is 30,000 Euro. Deadline for applications is 31 January 2008.

Clean Moves Expo a Showcase for Smart Mobility Technology
Energy efficient mobility technologies reduce our dependence on volatile fossil-fuel imports and are crucial to tackling the climate change issue. Clean Moves Expo is where automotive manufacturers, fuel producers, filling station operators, logistics specialists, investors and financial service providers meet to share knowledge on energy-efficient mobility solutions and their commercialization.
Located in Hall 13 at HANNOVER MESSE 2008, Clean Moves will showcase a range of energy-efficient transport technologies, including biofuels, natural gas, ethanol, synthetic fuels and electric vehicles. Clean Moves also features a conference that will in 2008 address the theme "Winning the End of Oil Game". The Clean Moves Pavilion attracted more than 23,000 visitors in 2007.
